AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Electrical Engineer for immediate employment in the Foothills outside the metropolitan Bay Area, CA office. You will have the opportunity to work on various hydro power projects. Must be comfortable and have experience working in truly remote locations . The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Working knowledge of:
Principles and practices of electrical engineering, including Federal, State, and Local Laws
Ordinances, codes, standards, rules, and regulations applicable to planning and design
Construction, maintenance, and operation of Powerhouse Power System Equipment: facilities and systems; and research and data analysis methods and techniques.
5 - 10 years of Electrical Engineering hydro power projects
BS Electrical Engineering
MS Electrical Engineering
5+ years of Electric Substation experience
5+ years of Wastewater experience
5+ years of Water Plants experience
