Position Title Senior Pavement Engineer

The Senior Pavement and Materials Engineer will work under the guidance of the Associate and will be responsible for the design, materials specification and research of various types pavement and materials projects.
Delivering pavement projects, including investigation reports, design projects and some site supervision.
Managing fieldwork projects including commercial and health and safety requirements.
Pavement analysis, design, specification and reporting.
Implementing plans for development of pavement & materials services.
Providing commercial guidance when developing proposals and in the delivery of projects.
Design of work ancillary to pavements, typically drainage, earthworks and utilities - this occasionally extends to alignment and highway structures.
Supporting project managers and other team members.
Implementing the technical quality requirements, addressing the project brief and meeting the client delivery deadline.
Working as part of the wider pavement team, liaising with laboratory and operations staff to understand and deliver the project technical brief.
Specific Skills Required
Knowledge of pavement engineering demonstrated by experience of pavement design, investigation and research.
Knowledge or experience of highway and airfield pavement engineering projects.
Knowledge or experience of UK pavement design methodologies and contract documentation, including MCHW.
Experience of pavement investigation projects for maintenance design and failure investigation.
Knowledge of materials behavior underlying standard specifications.
Working knowledge of the preparation of proposals and communication with clients.
Experience of non-DMRB pavement design is an advantage.
- The successful candidate must have a minimum relevant experience. post graduate experience in design, site supervision and construction management of civil & infrastructural projects.
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification
