Job Summary

We are currently looking for Senior Building Services Electrical Engineer’s to join our established Building Services teams in Nottingham

Required competencies: -

  • Proficient in the use of Amtech Pro-design cable sizing software

  • Proficient in the use of Dialux or similar lighting design software

  • Competent in designing coordinated containment runs and optimising ceiling spaces with mechanical colleagues

  • Familiar with drawing outputs required for 3D modelling in Revit software

  • Thorough knowledge of BS7671 with appropriate training

  • An intuitive approach to initial loading estimates to generate utility quotations and initial plant accommodation

  • Familiar with Building Regulations requirements for energy conservation

  • Capable of managing complex projects from start to finish

  • Planning and managing projects to deliver required financial performance

  • Excellent communication skills both internally and within the design team environment

  • Proven ability to mentor staff and coordinate delivery of multi-disciplinary project teams

  • Comfortable in engaging with external parties at the highest level

  • Design experience of LV distribution and switchgear, LV cabling and containment, Minor Power, Internal External and Emergency Lighting, Fire alarms, CCTV, IT, Door entry systems, BMS, Lighting controls etc.

  • Competent in the use of NBS specification writing software

  • An inherently safety focussed individual

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in a design consultancy environment

  • Portfolio of relevant work demonstrating required competencies across broad sectors including industrial, defence, education, commercial and healthcare

Preferred Qualifications

  • ​Masters degree or equivalent in electrical engineering

  • Member of either IET or CIBSE

  • CEng accredited or very near to sign off
