AECOM Project Administrator in Nottingham, United Kingdom

Job Summary

AECOM’s Central Streets team is looking to recruit a Project Administratorto support our Regional Commercial Project Manager, based in Chesterfield OR Nottingham office. The role will involve the commercial analysis and reporting on a portfolio of projects in the region.

Ideally this role will suit someone with an accounting background due to the nature of the work and skills required. On the job training and mentoring will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the AECOM project financial system (uploading change orders, opening and closing projects, compiling monthly EAC).

  • Setting up and administering project cost control, including monitor, collect and analyses actual costs, commitments, and accruals.

  • Identify cost trends and reports analysis to project management and clients and maintain project key performance indicators.

  • Develop reports to clients, including but not limited to progress and financial reports

  • Developing and maintaining project variance and earned value reporting and highlighting exceptions to the project manager.

  • Evaluate tasks progress against project schedule and budget. Evaluate project performance and identify areas of concern.

  • Compiling monthly invoices and following up with client AP for approval and payment

  • Manage subcontractor’s involvement in the projects. Coordinate contracts, budgets, commitments, expenditures, invoices and performance.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules. and general project coordination, logistics and administration.

Minimum Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a good understanding of Excel functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Basic knowledge of project management processes

  • Basic knowledge of finance and accounting
