Job Summary

AECOM is seeking Highway Technician's who will based in our Nottingham offices.

Vacancies are available within the Highways Operations team who are primarily involved with assessing the condition of highways, ports and airfields. This requires the use of a number of in-situ surveying techniques, such as Visual Condition Surveys, Rotary Diamond Coring, Falling Weight Deflectometer testing, Dynamic Cone Penetrometer, Trial Pitting and Window Sampling. Previous experience in this field would be beneficial, but full training will be provided to the suitable candidates. The position involves extensive travel throughout the UK and can, depending upon the project location, require individuals to work away from Nottingham for short durations, typically up to a week at a time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ideally applicants will have a range of GCSE’s A-C or equivalent, be computer literate

  • Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of this position, the individual will have to have flexible approach to working hours (day or night), be prepared to take on responsibility and have a willingness to learn.

  • A full UK driving license and your own transport to be able to get to and from the Nottingham office is essential.
