AECOM is seeking a Senior NEPA Navy Project Manager to be based in Norfolk, Virginia. The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM NEPA and Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) specialists across the US, and will have the resources of more than 3,500 environmental planning staff available to assist in project delivery.

BA/BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural resources, Wetlands management, Geology, Acoustics, Aviation planning, other planning, or an earth science-related field + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
U.S. citizenship is required, due to the nature of this work
Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural resources, Wetlands management, Geology, Acoustics, Aviation planning, other planning, or an earth science-related field
8+ of experience of NEPA experience in providing NEPA consulting services to the Department of Defense (DoD), and in particular the US Navy.
8+ years of managing projects and teams to scope, schedule, and budget
8+ years of experience working in a fast-paced consulting environment
Specific and established experience in providing NEPA consulting services to the Navy and other DoD or Federal clients in multiple locations
Existing, mature, and tested US Navy relationships with an ability to generate new work for the Team, Office, and Company
Strong experience with NEPA (and Natural/Cultural Resources Management) requirements and processes, including ability to manage projects, interdisciplinary teams, and workload, as well as interface successfully with US Navy and other DoD entities
Strong experience managing staff and teams across offices/geographies
High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as in a collaborative team environment
Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written (writing sample required)
Strong working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
Knowledge of GIS and MS Project
Organizational management skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work
Self-motivated, driven, and hard working
Demonstrated proposal writing skills, including major (SF330) and minor (Task Order) Proposals
Demonstrated ability to market and win work successfully and effectively with the US Navy
Ability to assist in the development of a successful Navy Environmental Planning market practice, resourced for delivery by existing AECOM assets
Excellent and relevant references
Position requires field work and candidate must be able to travel
Professional certification(s) – PMP, CEP, PE, or similar
Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
