AECOM is seeking a qualified and motivated Project Manager to support the delivery of a major capital improvement program in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. The qualified applicant will have experience in managed aquifer recharge and will be familiar with the design, construction and operation of recharge well and conveyance infrastructure. The position includes planning and design, schedule/budget management in an interesting and rewarding Program Management work environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with project team members and across multiple organizations, have a high level of initiative and motivation to deliver quality results, have strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to provide value-added solutions and maintain strong relationships.

BS degree in engineering, engineering/management, geology, or another scientific field is required. Advanced degree preferred.
Eight (8) years of relevant experience, with five (5) years of demonstrated project management experience is highly preferred.
Experience in managing complex project related problems.
Technical professional license/registration, Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or training in project management
A positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative that will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding and diverse professionals.
Must be able to perform daily operations using Microsoft Windows applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint platforms
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Expected to communicate regularly with (internal and external) stakeholders, in writing, one-on-one, and in meetings.
Must be able to conduct verbal presentations including project summaries, technical status, presentation to stakeholders
Must possess excellent writing capabilities and have experience generating reports suitable for submittal to clients
The ability to work well in a team-oriented and inclusive Program Management Organization culture.
Builds and maintains technical and leadership skills through training opportunities, external training, and involvement in professional society functions.
Familiarity with Microsoft Project is desirable, but not required
