Job Summary

Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis or review team on more complex assignments or as a lead on less complex assignments.

Analyzes, schedules, organizes and coordinates all required projects or work packages utilizing scheduling methodology and a variety of project planning software. Duties are designed to provide support to management in the analysis, development, implementations, and evaluation of project activities within a respective functional area or project in its entirety.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of risk development, analysis and review tasks.

  • Act as a lead on less complex tasks and responsible for a portion of a design or section of an analysis or design review.

  • Generate complete design specifications of more complex projects.

  • Coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.

  • Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.

  • Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.

  • Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.

  • Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or four (4) years of a demonstrated knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the PWS, including the qualifications below; or US Naval operational experience at the E7 level or higher.

  • In addition, six (6) years of engineering experience with a DoD major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems program. Experience inconcept definition, DoDAF compliant architecture development, requirements definition, and initial and detailed system design activities.

  • Systems engineering experience focused on requirements development and management of software systems. This includes experience related to the identification, analysis, and documentation of complex systems involving DOD weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems. university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.

  • Must be US Citizen.

  • Requires Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects for the Customer, working through control gates, technical review boards, Customer acceptance.

  • Experience with Agile, SCRUM, JIRA, Confluence
