AECOM is seeing a Senior Contracts Administrator service our clients in the Norfolk, VA area. The duties of the Senior Contract Administrator will include but is not limited to; plans, conducts, supervises contractual aspects of the daily operations of the program, necessitating advanced knowledge of administration, finance, and contractual matters as they apply to the daily operations of the program and projects. There will be due diligence in support of projects with Clients/Joint Ventures/Teaming arrangements, Contract Risk Analysis, contract task order proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract review and compliance, contracts policy compliance, project audits, government property management; reviewing, screening, planning to avoid or mitigate conflicts of interest; and any other business-related support required by the program/project management team. As well as serving as the primary program’s interface with the client's contracting official and task order contracting specialists. Must ensure adherence to the firm's signature authority policy, Coordinate with Corporate Audit Group and support periodic internal project audits, outside project audits by clients, and federal agency audits.
The Senior Contracts Administrator must possess the ability to manage and support multiple contract types (CPAF, CPFF, FFP, T&M, & others) and task orders concurrently and respond to project/client directives and requests involving financial information, contract compliance, cost proposals, project audit, project accounting, insurance, bonds, and other administrative issues. Review and approve the application of accurate contract rate data in the preparation of proposal and contract information. In conjunction with the Program Manager develop the negotiation strategy and conduct contract negotiations with the client. On Federal projects will participate in technical proposal preparation in compliance with the RFP requirements and other firm policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate must have solid understanding of risk management, assessment, and planning as well as possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, love challenges and details, be resourceful, and have great organizational and time management skills. This position requires knowledge of federal contracting, bidding, source selection, and procurement regulations and laws; experience with audit standards and federal cost principles; knowledge of disclosure statements, direct and indirect rate development and application; outstanding communication and negotiation skills; and business management skills.

BA/BS Degree in general business, business administration, law, accounting, science, engineering, or other related discipline with 6+ of experience or equivalency of experience and or education.
Have the ability to pass a federal background check
secure a base pass for access to US DoD Military facilities: and be qualitied to be permitted to handle DoD controlled unclassified information.
Bachelor’s Degree in general business, business administration, law, accounting, science, engineering, or other related discipline with 10+ Years contract administration experience.
Additional training in federal contracting, contract management, or defense acquisition training, are desirable. Certification as a Federal Contract Manager and/or advanced degree considered a plus.
Experience in maintaining databases and working with spreadsheets
Microsoft Office applications proficiency
Excellent working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and all supplements as well as the Uniform Commercial Code.
