AECOM is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to be based in Norfolk, Virginia.
This position is expected to begin in October 2021.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Assist with the design of building mechanical systems including airside, hydronics, and plumbing
Work with and take direction from mechanical engineering staff
Perform basic mechanical design calculations and standard computations such as heating/cooling loads, pipe, duct, and equipment sizing
Prepare drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
Be self-motivated with strong work ethic
Take pride in and ownership of your work
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Valid U.S. Driver's License
2+ years of relevant experience, which includes experience and skills in mechanical systems design for buildings
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Revit experience
Experience with building HVAC systems including but not limited to chilled water, hot water, condenser water, steam, and airside systems
Comfortable working in a high energy environment with frequent swift deadlines
Experience with sustainable design and energy efficiency
Knowledge/experience with building plumbing systems design
Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
