Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an Aegis Computer Network Technician to provide technical support, and assistance to conduct inspections and assessments on the Aegis Computer Networks to include, but not limited to Local Area Networks, Switch Blade Servers, Routers, VME Chassis Structure, Fiber Optics, and Digital Interfaces for Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Code 296 on the following Baselines:

  • Aegis Baseline 7.1

  • Aegis Baseline 7.1.R

  • Aegis Baseline 7.2

  • Aegis Baseline 8.1

  • Aegis Baseline 9.A0

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of four (4) years full-time hands-on technical experience within last 10 years in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, and/or repair of electrical/electronic systems/equipment incorporated in Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems.

  • SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years full-time engineering experience with in the last 5 years in Combat systems, ASW,USW,MIW, and or C4I systems. Must have experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing of Aegis Computer Networks. Proficient in using UNIX, LINUX, REDHAT, REDHAWK, general and special purpose electronic test equipment to perform both organizational and intermediate level maintenance.

  • A graduate of NAVY Aegis Computer Network C School or commercial Network System Administrator equivalent

  • Specifically outline attainment of special skills such as basic soldering, wire wrap and connectorization skills etc.

  • Position requires the ability to work onboard US Navy ships and access ship repair industrial facilities.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Position requires an active Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Common Access Card.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Any formal instructor experience should be annotated in the resume.
