Our Bridges team in Newcastle requires a number of Senior Bridge Engineers with proven bridge design, inspection, assessment, and refurbishment schemes experience. You will be joining our busy and expanding experienced Newcastle Bridges teams.
Current projects include a major UK 5-year rail network infrastructure framework assessment contract. In addition to the significant long-term commissions on bridge assessment and inspection, principally in the rail environment, our initial assessment often leads to the requirement for the design of the refurbishment, strengthening, or replacement. We have also recently designed a new footbridge across the River Ouse in York which is an important link in the city council’s plans to improve pedestrian links across the city. We also carry out design, inspection, and assessment work for local authorities and design of new and refurbished bridge schemes for contractors.
As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will have the following daily responsibilities:
Undertake and manage rail and road bridges and associated structural engineering schemes from inspection and assessment, feasibility through to detailed design
Take responsibility for the contribution of Graduate Engineers and Technicians as appropriate
