AECOM Digital Specialists - all levels in Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom
We are recruiting Software Developers and Digital Specialists of all levels (assistant through to Principal) into our Digital Solutions team. The team is expanding to meet the demands of our wide portfolio of projects and clients – from both within the UK and overseas. These roles have been created to support our ambition to grow significantly over time, offering career progression opportunities within AECOM for the right person. The team provides full design, implementation and maintenance services to a wide range of internal and external clients. Our solutions range from small projects to capture users journey plans, through stakeholder management software to real-time traffic reporting systems. We work with the latest tools and are happiest in the cloud. The hybrid-working team is currently based in Birmingham and Newcastle and would like to expand with staff that have access to these locations.
The successful candidate will have demonstratable skills in one of the following roles:
Microsoft Developer: .Net and Azure software development
Front End Developer : Angular front-end development
Infrastructure Consultant : Server/cloud/security/SEO/Accessibility/GDPR management e.g. non-coder that can help us deliver better services.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an accomplished team and work on a variety of exciting and innovative projects for our various clients.
Your typical responsibilities will include the following but vary by grade/role:
Delivering high-quality solutions independently and as a part of the wider team.
Identifying appropriate technology and architecture.
Participating in the complete DevOps process.
Contributing to technical reports and presentations.
Appropriate skills in one of the roles identified above.
Good appreciation of digital solutions and their real-world implications.
The capability to deliver work to time and budget.
High levels of self-motivation and capability to undertake specific tasks with minimum supervision.
Strong presentation skills.
- A degree or masters degree in Computer Science or other relevant subject. Note: Professional development experience will be strongly considered in lieu of a relevant degree.
