The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a Construction Inspector (TET IV) to Inspectors (TET II and III) with highway-bridge experience for upcoming projects in Delaware including the I-95/SR 896 Interchange Reconstruction in New Castle County and the North Millsboro Bypass in Sussex County. The qualified Project Inspector applicants will provide inspection support services to project locations across Delaware.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Supervising daily activities and assignments of inspection staff
Conduct Progress Meeting with Contractor
Ability to write and review contract change orders and perform minor design work
A working knowledge and ability to review a CPM Schedule
Oversees and Perform field inspections to monitor road conditions, bridges, road construction, and traffic, and material using in road construction and repair
Reviews construction, maintenance, or traffic projects for compliance with project specifications and plans
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and the knowledge to be able to conduct constructability reviews
Monitors contract performance and project status for major construction and maintenance projects
Maintains records and prepares reports pertaining to public works installations and projects
Compile quantities and reviews construction reports and other data
Candidates will need to travel to project sites through Sussex and New Castle Counties - AECOM does not provide fleet vehicles but will reimburse for mileage
Highschool Diploma and 4 years of related experience
Highway & Bridge experience
Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
