Job Description
AECOM is looking for a Transportation Planner III to manage projects in our New York, NY office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages complex planning studies tasks including NEPA based project evaluations.
Prepares environmental assessments, corridor studies and feasibility reports for transportation, resiliency and infrastructure projects.
Conducts research and prepares analysis on land use, social and economic issues using local, state and federal databases.
Community engagement for infrastructure and transportation/transit planning projects.
Prepares public facing documents and developing graphics using programs such as but limited to Adobe products and ArcGIS.
Performs field inspections to gather data relevant to the development review process and/or to verify that development projects comply with approved plans.
Conducts meetings and presents reports and other findings to clients and stakeholders
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of experience preferred
Strong written and verbal skills.
3 years related to projects for NYC agencies
Familiar with virtual meeting platform such as Zoom and virtual meeting tools such as Miro and Jamboards.
Familiarity with city, state and federal environmental and public engagement guidelines and regulations.
AICP is preferred.
Master of Urban Planning or Environmental Studies or related education

Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $105,000- 115,000 annually (exempt).
