AECOM is seeking Senior Chief Engineer based in New York, New York office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages portfolio of multiple projects.
Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
Supervises and directs Project Managers within a program of projects.
Working in coordination with the Design Team, the Lead Engineer will assist and often lead the development and review of conceptual designs related to high-rise building systems.
Lead the development and/or review of schematic designs and specifications with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, security, and electrical services for high-rise buildings
Coordination with design team to direct the review of schematic engineering drawings developed by others
Attend client meetings and/or site field visits
Creating, updating, and implementing design standards
Prepare technical reports and presentations that explain research, findings, and recommendations
Interact with vendors, regulatory agencies, and contractors
Review vendor drawings/data to ensure conformance with project specifications in a design-build environment
Review alternate technical concepts to confirm adherence with design standards, cost efficiencies, operations, and maintenance
BA/BS plus 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
15 years of demonstrated senior level experience
Demonstrated experience with specifying mechanical equipment (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and electrical systems
Demonstrated experience with engineering software packages including collaborative models
Experience executing work in 3D model environments
Experience with high-rise commercial, institutional and/or mixed-use projects, preferably in NY

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $245,000
