AECOM Angular Developer in New York, New York

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Angular Develo per for our innovative and growing Digital Solutions Department. This position will design and deliver innovative web application for clients. The role requires strong attention to detail as you will be responsible for coding, maintaining and optimizing responsive web sites in collaboration with UI/UX designer. This role could be based out of any of AECOM's East Coast offices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works under direct supervision or general direction

  • Must have the aptitude to learn new technical tools required for the role

  • Follows documented software development standards and approaches

  • Follows the defined visual style of the application

  • Develops solutions based upon a defined specification and test plan

  • Develops software solutions that operate against relational databases including:Relational / object mapping, Screen creation, Report development

  • Participates in department code reviews

  • Performs unit testing of their work

  • Completes work based upon the project schedule

  • Works with the quality assurance tester to resolve any problems

  • Participates in team design meetings

  • Assists in the response to Helpdesk ticket support requests

  • Continuously trains, adheres and learns from peers within the organization

  • Assigned tasks are of low complexity

  • Knows or learns to use the tools required for the job assignment

  • Project delivery of software development scope

  • Develop and maintain user-facing layouts and features

  • Work in a collaborative fast-paced environment

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Work closely with UI/UX designer providing technical feasibility and recommendations

  • Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability

  • Provide website maintenance and enhancements

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS and two (2) years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Two (2) years of experience with Angular

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing automated tests

  • Experience working with Web API’s

  • Experience following Secure Development Lifecycle

  • Firm understanding and experience following of SOLID Principles

  • Experience in fast-paced Agile Development Environments

  • Experience as developer in test

  • Front-end framework experience (React / Redux, Angular)

  • Proficiency in server-side languages, node Express, Python or .Net Core

  • Attention to detail and quality in design

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Data visualization d3/chart.js experience

  • Knowledge in Web GL – three.js, play canvas or unit
