AECOM Senior Vertical Transportation Engineer in New York City, New York

The Senior Vertical Transportation Engineer will design, develop, and review drawings and submittals on vertical transportation projects (elevators, escalators, and moving walkways). This professional will adapt and modify design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
4 plus years of relevant work experience
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
Knowledge of vertical transportation system application.
Knowledge of local and international elevator code requirements, field survey, vertical transportation system modernization and quality control.
EIT or QEI Licensed (or in process of obtaining)
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Undertaking vertical transport design for major projects
Working closely with principal designers to develop the Vertical Transport Design
Managing the production of drawings and reports and preparing vertical transportation projects specifications
Supervising and coordinating the work of others and coordinating work with engineers of other disciplines
Attending meetings and communicating with clients to establish their needs
Inspecting installations and witness testing on site
Managing project team to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team
- Bachelors degree and 4 plus years vertical transportation experience
6 plus years vertical transportation experience
PE or QEI License
Be able to design and deliver vertical transport solutions on major and/or complex project
A strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
