LBG is actively seeking a highly talented Senior Superintendent for immediate employment.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for jobsite operations, including all onsite activities of the subcontractors, suppliers, clients and their representatives.

  • Responsible for the field manpower organization to ensure the jobsite organization is composed of qualified and knowledgeable personnel, including those of the subcontractors and ensures effective personnel utilization.

  • Plans, leads and coordinates superintendents, junior superintendents and subcontractors work activities for a particular project.

  • Establishes, coordinates and implements construction schedules, manning charts, material and equipment requirements.

  • Responsible for administration of assigned area(s) contractual activities. Participates in contract and subcontract negotiations.

  • Controls jobsite expenditures, in assigned area, for labor, equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within the budget.

  • Responsible for overall supervision of all personnel in assigned area of responsibility.

  • Ensures subordinate personnel receive progressive training to enable them to assume additional responsibilities.

  • Ensure implementation of safety program that creates a safe work environment through the job site and adheres to OSHA safety and record keeping requirements.

  • Advise senior level management of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties, while assisting in circumventing or mitigating such conflicts. Provide assistance to involved contractors in resolving problems.

  • Major contributor to development of a thoughtful project pre-plan which includes a CPM schedule, work sequences, manpower utilization, material handling and storage requirements and equipment use.

  • Interfaces with client, architect and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and owner satisfaction. Facilitates discovery and correction of contract document “errors and omissions” and problem solving so as to reduce the costs incurred.

  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external record keeping requirements, with particular emphasis on accurate, properly coded employee automated timecards and accurately codes, fully priced material delivery tickets.

  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.

  • Responsible for labor relations, as assigned, and coordinates the activities with designated manager and corporate Labor Relations Department.

  • Plans and implements procedures to ensure construction operations are continuously adhering to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules and budget.

  • Ensures corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented.

  • The ability to analyze and construct details as indicated on drawings and if necessary, provide/create new methods to implement the work (i.e. work-out-of-sequence, provide scaffolding hung from the ceiling in order to work both ceiling and floor area at the same time.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus six years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • 10+ years of experience in the High End Residential and Hospitality construction

  • Demonstrated experience managing construction project cost, quality, and schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four year Construction, Engineering or related construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience or equivalent experience and training preferred.
