AECOM Senior Inspector in New York City, New York
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Inspector for immediate employment in the NY Metro Area.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Under direct supervision of the Senior Code Compliance Manager / Chief of Compliance, manage, coordinate, and track issues of the various project elements assigned, as they apply to compliance with the uniform code, associated with design review, inspections during construction and issuance of plan review, inspection reports in accordance with all codes, rules, and regulations of MTA agencies (MNR, Amtrak, NYCT and LIRR). Specific responsibilities include:
Assists and reports to the MTA Code Compliance Manager on ESA issues.
Manage and coordinate code compliance plan with the designers and elected railroads for the assigned project packages to include design review, interface with consultants to ensure regulatory agency issues and input are thoroughly addressed and coordinates strategy with all regulatory agency issues and inputs into assigned project's code compliance design development and acceptance processes.
Manage and track requests and issuances of project construction permits.
In conjunction with the Construction Manager, oversees construction inspectors on assigned project ensuring compliance with all codes, rules and regulations. When appropriate, recommends or causes others to issue notices of violation, stop work orders and temporary approval for occupancy.
Prepares code compliance certificates on completed 3rd party contractor’s construction work.
Provides overall guidance and supervision of subordinates.
Assists the Construction Manager in closing out code related issues and items at the end of the project.
The Code Compliance Manager will do all as stated above in addition to Managing the Special Inspection agency’s submissions related to code compliance. Approve Special Inspection Agencies, Special Inspectors etc... Manages and tracks requests and issuances of project construction permits.

HS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid Driver License required
10 years of construction experience
