AECOM is actively seeking creative, a highly talented Senior Construction Manager for immediate employment for the NYC Metro office for our East Side Access project. The East Side Access project is currently the largest transportation project underway in the United States. This is the first expansion project of the Long Island Rail Road in over 100 years.
MTACC’s Authorized Representative and single-point-of-contact for the management of an ESA contract.
Has signatory authority, as delegated, on behalf of MTACC for the assigned contract.
Administration of the contract, maintaining contract documentation, providing oversight of the contractor’s compliance to all contract provisions, including monitoring the contractor’s safety, quality, cost and schedule performance.
Responsible for interface with MTACC Procurement for contract administration issues, including contract closeout.
Assign and manage CM staff. Leads contract-specific interfaces with project-wide support staffs and railroad stakeholders, including project controls, safety, security, quality, code compliance, environmental, geotechnical, survey, force account, third-party and inter-agency coordination, real estate, systems integration, systems safety and office services.
Ensures compliance with CM procedures.
Coordinates with cost/schedule staff for weekly and monthly reporting on the status and progress of the contract. Responsible for control and management of contract scope, cost and schedule
Manages Construction Phase Service Budgets
Specialist Software Knowledge: Expedition or similar software and Microsoft Office.
Special Skills/Training Requirements: Experience in station construction or MEP
Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
Establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
May have budget responsibilities. Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization.
Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction.
- BA/BS plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: PE, Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or equivalent preferred but not required.
