Job Description

AECOM is seeking a seasoned Sr. Environmental Permitting Specialist in the New York City/downstate area to support multiple IAP Client Sectors.

We are looking for the right individual with experience in environmental permitting experience in the NY/NJ area including applied experience with NYSDEC land use regulations, USACE S. 404/10, 401 WQC, SEQRA and related programs.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS and 6+ in environmental permitting experience in the NY/NJ area including applied experience with NYSDEC land use regulations, USACE S. 404/10, 401 WQC, SEQRA and related programs or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • US Citizenship Required

  • Valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of environmental permitting experience in the NY/NJ

  • Experience with Art VII and NYC Environmental Regulatory Programs desirable.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, prior experience contributing and leading env. permitting applications required.

  • Projects and client groups include power/transmission, linear/transportation, waterways development/resiliency and offshore wind/marine/power projects.

  • Remote work location flexible but ability to participate in NY area meetings/projects desirable.

Additional Information: Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $130,000.

(For executive level positions: Bonus opportunities are tied to both company and individual performance and vary from year-to-year.) The salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $130,000.
