LBG is actively seeking a highly talented Project Engineer for immediate employment.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, mechanical, electrical, construction management), or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience

  • 0 to 2 years construction engineering experience in the field as junior Project Engineer, including co-op or intern experience

  • Knowledge of construction codes mandatory.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, audio processing, excellent grammar and spelling skills required

  • Ability to communicate with wide range of project participants – clients, project management, field, management, estimators, vendors, suppliers, architectures, project accounting, laborers, etc

  • Requires ability to maintain confidentiality of work items and sensitive conversations

  • This position will require operating in both office and field environments. Temperature fluctuations and uneven surfaces are to be expected

  • Ability to climb several flights of stairs required

  • Ability to walk for prolonged periods of time, maneuver in tight spaces, ride in confined elevators required

  • Ability to work in very high elevations (40+ floors)

  • Ability to perform data entry for long periods of time, through sitting at a keyboard (2 hours at a time)

  • Ability to work in environments of loud noises as would typically be found on a construction site, where exposure to dust and debris can also occur is required

  • Strong knowledge in the use of computers and common software programs a must such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe

  • Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction, Building and Business Acumen preferred

  • Possess demonstrated ability in detailed-oriented success

  • Ability to read shop drawings highly desirable

  • Knowledge of BIM technology and scheduling standards preferred

  • Knowledge of construction computer software or system preferred
