AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Controls Specialist for immediate employment in our NYC office. The Project Controls Specialist will be a member of our controls department and will be working on multiple complex projects and programs.
Works with the company's financial and cornerstone systems and processes.
Applies financial terminology, measures, financial data analysis concepts and principles in assignments.
Review vendor invoices / applications for payments.
Supports project reporting processes as required.
Performs basic analysis of cost and schedule variances.
Reviews subcontractors monthly schedule updates and progress reports.
Perform monthly updates and maintains schedules for various projects/programs.
Develops and maintains WBS for projects/programs.
Supports development of baseline schedules for new projects/programs.
Collects and analyzes data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations.
Understands progress/performance data and associated concepts and principles.
Participates in the collection of progress data and review of performance trends.
Assists in assembling data for trending and forecasting.
Provides support to tracking subcontract commitments and expenditures.
Exposure to scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.
Familiar with earned value, scope control and change management concepts, principles and methodologies.
Introduced to performance management and cost/schedule integration concepts and principles.
Develops knowledge of scope control and change management.
Assists in the use of drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in project management, construction management, industrial engineering, engineering, business or other related discipline and 2+ years' of directly related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
Knowledge and familiarity with earned value systems, cost analysis, schedule development and maintenance, subcontract management.
Familiarity with scheduling software Primavera P6/ MS Project.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Proficient in Primavera PS/MS Project
Knowledge of visualization tools
Strong knowledge of project controls practices and standards
