Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting in the design of projects from conception through construction for small and large projects for Plumbing and Fire Protection systems
Preparing calculations, reports, and specifications
Performing fire suppression system selection and prepare designs involving the design of automatic sprinkler, standpipe, and fire pump systems, and clean agent suppression systems
Independently performing all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering work
Coordinating work with other disciplines; capable of directing, guiding, and quality review of one or more junior engineers or designers
Performing site visits
Attending client meetings to represent discipline on projects.
Responsible for interdisciplinary coordination and review
Responsible for collaboration and communication with project managers and discipline manager
Must be able to supervise junior staff on multiple projects, provide assertive management, technical leadership and support to team members, verify that all work is completed as planned and scheduled in compliance with client, and company quality assurance practices
Perform construction administration tasks such as review of shop drawings, response to RFIs, etc.
BA/BS degree plus 4 of relevant work experience in Plumbing and Fire Protection design for new, existing and renovation building design or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
Revit and AutoCAD experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in Plumbing and Fire Protection design for new, existing and renovation building design or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
Registered Professional Engineer
Knowledge of and experience with high performance and sustainable building practices
Experience in leading teams of in-house and consultant staff
Excellent supervisory skills and ability to communicate with and motivate team members
Demonstrates creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problem
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Additional Information:
