AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our Remediation team in either Clifton, NJ or New York City. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services to our key clients.
Experience in environmental site remediation, including experience with investigations through site clean-up and closure. Candidate will be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative. Field work may be required including oversight of subcontractors.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
Provide engineering and environmental compliance support for design, construction, and operation of soil and groundwater remediation systems located at former waste sites and operating manufacturing facilities.
Research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency guidance documents and specifications.
Evaluate site conditions and recommend remediation technologies to address remedial action objectives.
Project activities will include: preparation of feasibility studies and regulatory design submittals; preparation of design drawings and specifications; preparation of permit applications; preparation of construction bid packages; preparation of cost estimates; evaluation of contractor proposals; contract administration; preparation of cost tracking documents; review and coordination of construction documents; interactions with contractor personnel; management of waste residual; planning and technical support for construction and start-up activities; and technical support for operations activities

BA/BS + 2 years of experience and or equivalency of experience and or education.
Valid driver's license.
Experience in environmental site remediation.
Experience with investigations through site clean-up and closure.
Field work may be required including oversight of subcontractors.
