AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager to support the Construction Management Team (CM) for transit rail construction projects in the NYC metropolitan area.
Provide oversight of the construction inspectors during the project construction phase including; preparation of inspectors daily work schedules, ensuring site safety monitoring, technical oversight, quality of construction, and client satisfaction. Plan and coordinate inspection and construction management activities and assignments of all direct reporting CCM staff. Provide supervision of the field inspection teams working nights and weekends. Interface with contractors to coordinate construction activities and NYCT force account support staff Evaluate, resolve and provide solutions to contractors and construction inspectors for constructability issues encountered at construction sites.
BA/BS + 8 years of related experience
Knowledge and experience in performing inspection and resident engineering activities in active transit system environments, construction site safety standards, operations requirements and force account support services.
Demonstrated increasing levels of responsibilities and authority in similar project environments.
Excellent interpersonal skills, staff supervision, strong negotiation skills and conflict resolution abilities.
10+ years of experience in resident engineering, construction management, project management, engineering and related fields
