AECOM Construction Inspector in New York City, New York

AECOM is seeking Construction Inspectors to support its Construction Management Teams working in the NYC Metropolitan area on public transit and commuter rail systems.
Provide oversight of the field operations during the project construction phase including; preparation of inspectors daily reports, ensuring site safety monitoring, technical oversight, quality of construction, and Client satisfaction. Accountable for the inspection and construction management tasks assigned by the Project Manager and Resident Engineer Ability to balance work in the project office with responsibilities in the field.
Interface with contractors to ensure coordination of construction activities and acquisition of force account support staff. Ability to evaluate and provide feedback to PM and RE regarding constructability issues encountered at construction sites. Knowledge and experience in performing inspection for various engineering disciplines (I.E Civil, Elec, Mech, Comms) and trades in active transit system environments. Knowledge of construction site safety standards, operations requirements, and force account support services
- HS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 5 years experience in construction inspection, construction management is preferred.
