AECOM Associate Director - Architecture in NEOM, Saudi Arabia
Job Summary
Maintains principals architecture and style across projects
Lead reviews from pre-concept through detailed design
Lead and manage the architecture team
Management of large projects and multiple assets projects
Managing and coordinating design submissions from contractors and designers
Coordination of different departments and sectors
Coordination and management across different sectors and interfaces
Documentation management using appropriate software and systems
Preparation of Scope of Works and Requests for Proposals
Technical assessment of tenders and proposals
Quality management and compliance with design procedure
Provides architectural technical and management leadership for a discipline or area of responsibility.
Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.
Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with senior- level architects and/or designers within the company and with key officials of other organizations and companies, and is skilled in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
At this level, individuals will have demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature architectural judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual structure/design problems, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse activities.
Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
Minimum Requirements
Specific Skills Required:
- Good design and technical skills and management experience
Person Specification:
Build successful working relationships with internal departments
Ability to handle multiple tasks and establish priorities for the timely completion of work.
High level of professionalism, initiative and creativity.
Problem solving/lateral thinking skills.
Experience:
More than 20 years’ of experience
Middle East experience preferred
Previous experience within a consultancy on major projects
Additional Comments:
- Projects are in Neom, Tabuk, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Remote location.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture. Project Management qualifications beneficial
