AECOM Sr. Project Manager - Civil Eng Highway in Murray, Utah

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager whose primary focus will be with our highway/roadway group in our Salt Lake City office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Directs and manager the entire project, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.

  • Accountable for all facets of project delivery this includes project management, design, budget, schedule through contract closeout.

  • Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.

  • Work with the local area Business Line Leader and Senior Management on development and execution of project pursuits and delivery

  • Formulate and execute project opportunity capture strategies, including teaming and positioning for strategic pursuits and identification of required staff resources to win and effectively deliver projects

  • Establish relationships with both external and internal clients

  • Manage and mentor staff to enable seamless design and plan development

  • Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally

  • Must possess excellent analytical, technical skills and communication (oral and written) skills

  • Proven track record with client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering staff development.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 10 years of related experience; or AA/AS (US) + 12 years of related experience or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) +12 years of related experience; or HS/GED + 14 years of related experience; all including a minimum of 2 years of leadership

  • ​Utah PE required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or in job related field

  • 15 + years of progressive experience designing and delivering projects for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT)

  • Experience as project manager or lead roadway engineer on UDOT projects

  • Familiarity with Bentley products (MicroStation, Inroads, ProjectWise)

  • Client relationships and business development experience with UDOT
