AECOM ’s Salt Lake City Office is actively seeking a highly motivated entry-level GIS Specialist with 1-3 years of experience for immediate employment. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate experience utilizing Geographic Information Systems with an emphasis on surface water and watershed study applications and will work on exciting, challenging projects in a highly collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with other members of the GIS team and various project managers while working on multiple concurrent projects including watershed/hydrologic/hydraulic studies; FEMA’s Risk MAP Program; technical GIS support for engineering and environmental siting studies and impact analyses; database and form design; web and mobile GIS solutions and applications; and geospatial data management using Esri ArcSDE/ArcGIS Server on a wide variety of environmental and engineering projects.

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Works under direct supervision.
Uses concepts, practices and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clients.
This level is typically provided data from a level II or III for database entry and/or providing basic figures for projects and presentations. Level I is an end user of designs completed by level II and III.
Performs tasks of limited scope and complexity.
- BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/ or education
Knowledge of GIS Software
Desire to perform GIS work long term
