AECOM Senior Resident Engineer in Mumbai, India

AECOM is providing general engineering consultancy services for MTHL project and is actively seeking Senior Resident Engineer- Bridge for the project.
The responsibilities of this role are as follows –
Review of Inspectors Daily Reports.
Review the FS and assess bridge design for detailed engineering, including the geotechnical data, the applied design codes, design conditions including control points (e.g. Navigation channel, pipelines etc.), type of the foundation/substructure/superstructure.
In collaboration with the highway road engineers, develop a program of site investigation for structures and drainage works.
Confirm with MMR.DA all design conditions including design code, control points such as position of public utilities, and cross sections in collaboration with Highway Engineer
Review and Approval of the Contractor’s Shop Drawings as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
Conduct the detailed design of the bridges based on the approved basic design
Conduct the full basic design, mainly span arrangement, type of superstructure/substructure/foundation based on the preliminary structural analysis before the detailed design for the Client's approval.
Provide guidance to the CAD operator for preparation of the drawings and check the drawing prepared by the CAD operator.
Review and check the bill of quantities prepared by local bridge engineer
Prepare the appropriate technical specifications as a part of the bid documents for bridge structures, including miscellaneous facilities.
Coordination with Contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
Continuous Field Inspections of the work in the progress and consultation with both the Resident Engineer’s and Contractor’s supervisory staff.
Support the Claim specialist to analyze the claims for cost increase or time extension from the contractor
Support the Team Leader to issue the Taking over certificate and completion certificate in terms of bridge structures
Participate the meeting with relevant authorities/the client/contractor when required.
Provide a part of the reports to be submitted to the Client in terms of the bridge works.
Ensure full and detailed permanent site records, which will include site correspondence, survey data, quality acceptance data, site diaries, measurement and certification, minutes of meetings, and records of all other contractually relevant matters.
Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy
Specific Skills Required:
Knowledge and experience of software such as STAAD-III, WALLAP, Leap5,RM2000, SAP90. GTStudl, PROKON
Design Standards-AASHTO Codes
Working knowledge of MS Office software programs
Must be pro-active, adaptable and able to work with other project team members
Must have good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
Able to recognise priorities and meet critical time deadlines
Able to interface with both clients and other inter-office disciplines
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
The candidate should have minimum 10 years of site execution experience in Bridge projects.
Excellent communication skills.
Prior experience in similar projects.
