AECOM is seeking a Construction Management Lead for immediate employment. This will be a virtual role based from the NASA Ames Research Center Field Office in Mountain View, CA. The Project and Construction Manager will be a member of the Project Delivery Team reporting to the Client’s Project Manager as well as the AECOM Project Manager.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Will act as NASA’s field representative providing quality assurance on various NASA facilities and infrastructure projects at the NASA Ames site.
In the role of Client’s representative, will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the various stakeholders of the Project, including the AE, General Contractors, Sub contractors with responsibility for monitoring compliance with established project contract obligations for schedule and cost, identifying variances, assisting with development of mediation/recovery efforts when required
This role will require significant interaction with multiple representatives of various the Client Team members to maintain seamless communications and client confidence on all project delivery progress
Comply with both AECOM and Client Safety programs, documentation and reporting process
Develop detailed Project status reporting documents and submit to Client’s Management Team as directed by the NASA PM and AECOM’s Site Director
Attend regular safety meetings, ensure messages conveyed to the operational staff and contractors, manage the safety messages into the projects and audit to give confidence that the safety is being implemented in accordance with Client and AECOM HSSE processes and procedures
Attend regularly scheduled Project progress meetings as required by the on-going construction work
Member of Client’s Project Delivery Team charged with delivering projects to time, cost and quality standards.
Lead team of CM's and inspectors to deliver all the stages of project development; delivery and close out, regular site progress meetings; high quality handovers; financial close meetings; and safety audits
Bachelors Degree and six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Valid drivers license
Professional Engineer, Licensed Architect and/or Certified Construction Manager
5+ years’ experience in a construction management role
OSHA 10 Certification
A leader in compliance and ethics
Confident and capable individual with strong client focus
Experienced in managing a diverse project management team
Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment
Ability to work under pressure and to tight dead-lines
Good grasp of IT, particularly Excel, MS Word, MS Project or Primavera P6
Ability to travel. Travel anticipated to vary but will be about 40-50% of chargeable time
Recognized construction management experience on projects of similar scale, preferably in the Shipping and Distribution sector
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
