AECOM Sr. Project Manager (Rail Systems) in Mississauga, Ontario

Senior Project Manager for major complex multi-disciplinary transportation projects based in either AECOM’s Mississauga Ontario office, Markham Office or Whitby Office who is able to undertake design team and design contract management of large DB and P3 projects with extensive experience in Rail Systems Engineering. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Overall project management and leadership in delivering major (multimillion or billion dollar) transportation projects.
Defining project scope, developing project plans, developing project schedules and developing and tracking fee estimates and project baselines and budgets.
Tracking project progress of deliverables, milestones and other commitments to clients.
Determining and taking corrective actions on contractual, technical and commercial issues.
Building, organizing and motivating project teams and managing daily activities and resources.
Identifying services to be provided by external companies and negotiating agreements.
Chairing internal and external or client meetings representing AECOM.
Ensuring client satisfaction and overseeing quality review process for submittals.
Analyzing and managing project risk.
Managing reports and necessary documentation.
Developing policies and procedures to support the achievement of project objectives.
Business development / developing leads aiding in winning new work.
Non-project management project, or non-core, work could include some or all of design reviews, scheduling, report writing, presenting
P.Eng. or ability to obtain it within 18 months
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of 10 years experience in project management
- 15 years’ experience in project management of Rail/Transit projects with focus on commuter rail, high speed rail, heavy rail and rail systems engineering.
