Job Summary

The Buildings & Places Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Architectural Tech for immediate employment in the Minneapolis, MN office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

  • Develops planning and creative design concepts for projects

  • Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and

  • working drawings

  • Works under only general direction

  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions

  • Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods under general supervision of a manager

  • or senior manager to meet project specifications

  • Works with clients as well as the internal and external project team to execute the project from concept to execution and completion

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent

  • 5+ years of project experience

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and strong working abilities in Revit required

  • Working knowledge of project design and construction documentation and construction materials

  • Understanding of the capacity of the following programs and the type of documentation they produce relative to project deliverables: three-dimensional modeling software Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite, Office Suite, AutoCAD and Revit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare facility related experience

  • Additional project experience in other markets a benefit

  • Ability to work across disciplines of Architecture, Structural, and MEP

  • Applicant should be on the path to receive his/her Architectural licensure
