Job Description

AECOM is seeking highly motivated Permitting Senior Manager with specific experiences in a range of sectors, including but not limited to Infrastructures, Energy and Real Estate.

Our EHS and Sustainability Team works on complex projects, pulling the right resources from across the company to support project needs. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that will challenge you technically while giving you the opportunity to growth both professionally and at personal level.

The appointed person will have a role as a Senior Manager, a key player in the team, with the following responsibilities:

  • Managing and developing proposals and projects covering all environmental aspects and associated regulation

  • Supporting the Client through the permitting process starting from the initial assessment, implementing environmental studies including managing relationship with the involved authorities until permitting approval.

  • Critically reviewing and interpreting EU and Italian environmental regulations

  • Developing environmental studies (e.g. EIA, ESHIA, VincA study, Landscape Assessment)

  • Implementing environmental operating permit applications (e.g. AIA, AUA, etc.)

  • Contribute on overseeing projects from planning, technical operating and budgetary perspective

  • Builds and Reviews project deliverables including writing technical reports

  • Builds sustainable relationships in order to meet our business development goals

  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of our services and team by evaluating project successes and challenges and sharing lessons learned to enhance performance within the business

  • Applies and encourages a high level of health and safety awareness and quality management at all times

  • Ensures effective communication with the project team and clients

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

We are particularly looking for candidates with the following:

  • +7 years of related experience, with a multinational company is preferred

  • Leadership skills and interest in growing in this role

  • Excellent planning, organizational and team time management skills

  • Reasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits

  • Open and honest

  • A background in Industry is advantageous, as an experience in the Consulting sector

  • Critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem solving abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams

  • Strong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulness

  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications :

Master’s degree in Chemical/Process Engineering/Environmental Engineer/Environmental Sciences
