Position Title Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Primary responsibilities is on the processes involved in the receipt and/or shipping of material to ensure items being stowed
or shipped meet customer requirements. May use anti-static devices. Reports to Designated Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
Identifies, examines, classifies, accepts, rejects, and disposes of material as per regulations.
Visual examination or use of measuring devices and techniques may be performed under mentoring assistance of senior
Able to use basic processes of inspection/examination procedures for material.
Able to read specifications and photographs as/if required in DLA contract.
Able to use blueprints, schematics, etc., under mentoring of senior personnel.
Load material on and off of skids, pallets, stands.
Prepare labels as required.
Able to prepare basic reports.
Operate tools and equipment in performance of duties.
Receive data from and input data to automated systems in performance of receiving/shipping duties.
May operate material handling equipment as assigned and hold appropriate license.
Count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Procedure Compliance - Each employee must read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.
Minimum six (6) months general work experience preferred which will demonstrate ability to perform requirements of position. High school diploma or GED required. May substitute experience for education at the rate of one year of general experience for one year of high school.
Must be able to successfully pass a written test for MHE within 30 days of hire.
Must be able to successfully complete Inert Certification training requirements.
Position may require travel.
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
In accordance with the contract, all personnel performing work require United States citizenship or acceptable proof of naturalization prior to employment.
