AECOM Senior Engineer - Municipal in Middleton, Wisconsin

AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Municipal Engineer with 10 or more years of experience to join our Middleton (Madison), Wisconsin office. The senior municipal engineer will join our expanding Water Department (currently 9 people) that focuses primarily on municipal and water resources engineering. This position is primarily a technical position, but also includes client management.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Oversee design of various civil public works projects including municipal, water and sanitary sewer, stormwater, roadway and infrastructure upgrades.
Provide engineering review of site plans to determine compliance with Wisconsin state regulations and municipal ordinances pertaining to Public Works.
Prepare exhibits and descriptions for easement and right-of-way agreements.
Supports municipal clients in responding to citizens’ questions and complaints concerning public works concerns.
Review utility and right-of-way permits.
Develop scopes of work and budgets. Plan, execute and deliver projects. Prepare contract documents suitable for bidding. Review and approve shop drawings during construction.
Work with junior staff on production and assist in their professional development.
Prepare permit applications and pursue approval.
Monitor the quality and progress of construction projects.
Attend evening municipal meetings and hearings.
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
10+ years’ experience working as a consulting municipal engineer for municipalities in Wisconsin.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex multi discipline projects and clients.
A proven track record and strong desire of providing superior client service.
Experience managing all aspects of land development projects for private sector clients a plus.
Excellent communication and public presentation skills.
Coaches, mentors, and challenges staff.
Maintains a presence and seeks leadership roles in professional societies and other organizations related to the municipal and land development markets.
Leads by example, demonstrating the attitudes and behaviors expected from others.
Strong computer skills are required: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation is required.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Wisconsin.
Familiarity with computer assisted design programs (CAD) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are a plus.
