AECOM Visualization Specialist - Environmental Planner in Miami, Florida

AECOM has a position available for a Senior Visualization Specialist to be based in any AECOM office in the United States. In this role the qualified candidate will join our expanding Offshore Wind Strategic Initiative Team to focus on the continued growth of our Visual Assessment Program. In this role you will also assist with business development, technical leadership, program Subject Matter Expertise, client account management and program execution.

This is a high visibility role with a specific objective of expanding AECOM’s leadership in site design and visualization, including the specialized field of visual impact assessment for offshore wind projects
The Visualization Specialist will work with multidisciplinary staff focusing on project delivery staff growth, business development, client pre-positioning, and proposal leadership as it relates to visualization impact assessment

BA/BS in Landscape Architecture, Biology, Natural Resources, Marine Biology, Environmental Science or related field + 8 years of relevant experience in the energy sector, power permitting and impact assessment and permitting or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Must be willing and able to travel when and as requested
MS in Landscape Architecture, Biology, Natural Resources, Marine Biology, Environmental Science or related field is preferred
10+ years of relevant experience in Visualization Impact Assessment the energy sector
Experienced in site design and permitting in support of development projects with a focus on offshore wind support for Construction and Operation Plans for the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).
Strong understanding of current BOEM requirements regarding Visual Impact Assessment for offshore wind projects, assessing offshore and onshore components.
Experience that includes understanding of the offshore wind market, lease and call area development, state policies and agreements driving the market and fundamental understanding of the interconnect and transmission infrastructure requiring visual assessment.
Experience supporting projects throughout the Northeast with support of permitting processes like New York Article VII and Article.
Prior experience in technical leadership roles with BOEM Permitting Submittals desired
