AECOM Assistant TMC Manager (Supervisor) in Miami, Florida

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Assistant TMC Manager for immediate employment in Miami, FL. This position will be a direct report to the TMC Manager with direct communications with staff throughout their area of responsibility and upper-level management.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Scheduling and oversight of the SunGuide TMC floor staff initial and recurrent training program
Participate in the review of resumes, interviews, and recommend for hire/advancement opportunities
Review and participate in the development of SunGuide Control Room Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) and Operator Quick Reference Guide, technical memos, and training materials
Oversight of the SunGuide TMC training and certification programs
Coordination and leadership of SunGuide TMC Operations staff
Responsible for daily SunGuide TMC Operations efficiency and effectiveness in providing freeway operations, express lane operations, ramp signal operations, traveler information, incident management, and arterial operations.
Following-up on DMS Messaging plans for special events, construction, and maintenance activities to ensure Control Room staff performance
Participation in routine performance assessments and operator quality control process.
Sharing “on-call” responsibilities
Oversight of the control room’s equipment status and system reporting maintenance needs
Serve as point of contact for SunGuide TMC related visits, tours, and media events
Coordinate control room staff meetings
Provide operations enhancement recommendations for modifications and/or additional staffing needs
Participation in meeting, seminars and conferences as requested
Other ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by the Project Management team

BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; must also successfully complete Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Joint Task Force (JTF) / State Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERS) fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in an office environment. Position requires frequent keyboard/mouse operations, performing repetitive fine hand movements, and sitting for long periods of time; rarely standing/walking. Position will include wearing a dispatch headset, viewing CCTV camera displays, and listening to law enforcement radio broadcasts
Experience with traffic management center or traffic monitoring center direct supervision
Proficiency with FDOT SunGuide Software
Technical writing experience
Experience with writing manuals
Experience with scheduling.
