AECOM Geotechnical Manager in Mexico City, Mexico

AECOM Mexico needs an experienced Geotechnical Engineering Manager to lead our current team. Geotechnical Department Manager will lead the geotechnical engineering team and contribute to profits. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the field as well as handling the “business” side of geotechnical engineering.
Primary job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Perform as a Project Lead on all aspects of geotechnical engineering design works and project deliveries
Provide technical inputs for geotechnical design and consulting assignments
Coordinate between project team members, clients, government agencies, design institutes, and other stakeholders to manage the project implementation
Prepare the technical proposal and tender documents, and conduct tendering assessment
Conduct project research program if required
Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy
Lead geotechnical team and develop/mentor junior and mid-level geotechnical engineers, and making decisions skillfully
Managing personnel and resource allocation on current and future projects, providing workload balancing
Provide expertise and leadership on project management, proposal, and report review and preparation related to geotechnical engineering areas.
Overseeing quality control, report review, and management of projects
Overseeing geotechnical and field services projects
Serve as resident expert on geotechnical engineering and design concepts
Establish, ensure and promote quality standards consistent with the AECOM QA/QC protocols
University degree in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Geotechnical engineering or other similar engineering degrees & Registered Professional Engineer (Civil / Geotechnical)
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering and/or solid understanding of ground investigation works and geotechnical engineering with proven record in managing and delivering the geotechnical engineering projects
Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering
Knowledgeable in IT tools including business and engineering software and applications
Good command of both written and spoken English and Spanish
