AECOM Geotechnical Engineer in Mexico City, Mexico
AECOM Mexico is in need of a Geotechnical Engineer to support a due diligence industrial project as well as other projects throughout Mexico.
The primary job functions for this position will include but not be limited to the following:
Compile in public sources geotechnical information of the project site.
Carry out visits to the site to identify the geotechnical conditions, implicit risks due to the type of soil, slopes or others.
Schedule and supervise soil mechanics studies.
Integrate and interpret results of exploration campaigns and laboratory tests.
Integrate geotechnical models with the stratigraphic profile and index and mechanical properties for each stratum.
Prepare stability analysis of geotechnical structures under static and dynamic conditions.
Elaborate failure limit state analysis and service limit state for the project structures.
Definition of the type of foundation.
Review, analysis, and design of pavements.
Preparation of the geotechnical report with the results obtained in the process.
University degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
4 years or more experience as a geotechnical engineer.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
