Job Description
AECOM’s market-leading Energy business in Australia is looking for a Senior Project Manager based in Melbourne, who has the whole of life cycle experience across a range of energy projects.
We work closely with investors and developers to help them deliver successful developments from pre-construction through to operations. This role is for a passionate individual with a recognised track record in leading project management services in the energy sector on behalf of our clients.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will collaborate to deliver projects, allocate resources, review progress and schedules, and deliver on client expectations. You will also be instrumental in enabling and growing the team and be able to lead projects while partnering with AECOM’s key clients across Victoria and Australia.
You will have proven Project Management experience in order to partner with clients in diverse market sectors, including; Utilities, Transport and Industrial. The successful candidate will have strong technical, communication, and time management skills and the desire to grow their career at AECOM.
Qualifications
This role would suit a proven experienced Project Manager with most of the following attributes:
Relevant qualifications in related Engineering disciplines (Electrical) or Project Management;
6-12 years’ relevant professional experience in Electrical Engineering.
Strong communication and time management skills and the desire to grow their career at AECOM;
Project management experience, with proven background in allocating resources throughout a project timeline from concept to completion, including scheduling;
Demonstrable and proven knowledge and understanding of the energy industry, design and project processes in Australia;
Manage and deliver moderate to large-scale projects while being responsible for the management of resources, budgets and timelines, and enhancing client and working relationships.
Approachable and resilient demeanour, with proven project management skills, while building stakeholder relationships and collaborative project delivery;
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Project Manager in Industrial, Transport or Utilities sectors, highly desirable.
