Job Summary

As a senior landscape architect in the Melbourne team you will be joining a growing and talented group of designers and creative thinkers who are committed to design excellence underpinned by technical rigor. You will work alongside urban design and planning professionals as part of the Melbourne Design and Planning team and collaborate with a diverse range of technical specialists throughout AECOM.

You will have the opportunity to perform a range of roles from project manager, collaborator, technical adviser and mentor working across a wide range of matters and project types.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Demonstrated technical capabilities in landscape design across a wide range of project types and all aspects of the project lifecycle (concept to construction)

  • The ability to innovate and problem solve design challenges in a proactive and collaborative manner

  • Be passionate and proactive about producing insightful and high quality work and advice

  • Excellent written, verbal and graphic communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to foster productive relationships with colleagues and clients.

  • Advanced project management skills with demonstrated examples of project management across a range of project types

  • Experience working with a range of clients and stakeholders and development of positive client relationships

  • Demonstrated community engagement skills

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects, tasks and stakeholders effectively

  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office with outstanding AutoCAD documentation skills

  • 3D modelling (Rhino/Sketch Up) would be considered an advantage.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in landscape architecture

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualified to degree level in Landscape Architecture, or similar Master’s degree

  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Adobe Graphic suite (Indesign, photoshop, illustrator) as well as MS Office Suite is required;

  • Basic experience in 3D modelling packages (3D AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Lumion) is advantageous
