Our Melbourne-based Building Services team are currently looking for a Senior Hydraulics Engineer to work closely with our clients, contractors and internal stakeholders across diverse project sectors covering Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Aviation and Defence industries.
This will be a technically focused role, where you will have the opportunity to work across diverse projects and support our clients in multidisciplinary projects.
As a Senior Hydraulics Engineer in our Building Services team, you will:
Deliver design services and advice across a range of market sectors, including; Commercial, Aviation, Healthcare, Education and Defence;
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement;
Design hydraulic systems, preparing schematics drawings, calculations and specifications;
Participate in site investigations and report writing;
Manage commercial items relevant to the projects and Hydraulics discipline;
Provide guidance and mentor junior engineers and graduates;
Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule;
Manage client relationships, both internally and externally, understanding key project drivers and determine the best approach hydraulically for our clients.
As a successful Senior Hydraulics Engineer in the Melbourne team Building Services, you will have some of, or all the following attributes and skillsets:
Proven knowledge and experience working within a technical design-focussed Hydraulics Engineering role, preferably within a Building Services consultancy;
Excellent and demonstrable consulting capability in a technical Hydraulics Engineering environment;
Confident communication style, with an ability to advise and influence key stakeholders, including clients and contractors during all stages of a project lifecycle;
Ability to manage project priorities with a proactive attitude and work-alone initiative;
Demonstrated experience and understanding of Australian Building Services projects and standards;
Exceptional levels of written and oral communication, including report writing;
Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and/or projects.
BEng in Hydraulics Engineering or related Building Services Engineering discipline;
Prior experience or understanding of Revit, not essential but advantageous.
