AECOM Principal Water Engineer – Water Infrastructure in Melbourne, Australia

Job Summary

AECOM’s dynamic Water group in Melbourne is growing and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Principal Water Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team.

This role presents an opportunity to fast-track your technical skills, working with a range of specialists across the globe, delivering a wide range of infrastructure projects while establishing and building existing client relationships.

Our Victorian Water team is helping to deliver major infrastructure programs encompassing strategic planning and asset management, concept and detailed design, construction and commissioning support. The focus of this role will be to support a variety of major projects, predominately within transport (road, rail and air), water and private sector markets located across Victoria. In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to support our offices across Australia and New Zealand, and to collaborate with other geographies as part of the global AECOM network.

Our services include network and treatment planning and design for water, wastewater and recycled water projects, with a key focus on supporting sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve. In joining our energetic and market-leading team, you will contribute to the delivery of our growing portfolio of major infrastructure projects within Victoria and across Australia, and provide our range of clients with contemporary, innovative solutions.

Minimum Requirements

We are seeking a professional with an interest in long-term growth within AECOM - an individual who is looking to develop their career within a global organisation – whether that be through technical specialisation or project management.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering detailed designs of potable water and wastewater networks, including adoption of MRWA WSAA standards

  • Successful track record delivering work within a consultancy environment

  • Experience in working across multidisciplinary stakeholder groups

  • Experience covering all aspects of the capital project lifecycle from planning, through design, construction and commissioning

  • Experience working as part of major infrastructure project teams would be highly regarded
