As an Principal Engineer in our Building Services, you can expect the following role responsibilities:
Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large-size projects.
Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling.
Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.
Leads technical business development work.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Approves and signs off on work.
Leader in one or more areas of technology.
Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule a to meet requirements on large, complex projects.
Ability to lead and manage technical engineering designs for Electrical Infrastructure and reticulation in the rail industry
Undertake site inspections and prepare reports.
Carry out technical engineering duties to ensure quality and systems/process requirements are achieved
Preparation of, calculations, drawings, specification, cost estimation, technical reports and details/ schedules for projects.
Liaise and present to Electrical l engineering technical team
Mentor and assist junior engineers in the business
Client liaison and presentation of the design processes
Appropriate tertiary qualification Electrical or other Building Services Discipline
Appropriate recognised industry/professional body accreditation/membership
Leadership skills focusing on project and technical leadership, but also including human relations, team building, innovation, and motivation skills
Electrical Engineering background with usually 10-15 years in total experience since graduation, highly advantageous.
VLine and ARTC (active) competencies recognition.
MTM Engineering Competencies (active) recognition for Designer and Checker.
