AECOM Associate Director Structural Engineering in Melbourne, Australia
Company Description
As a result of a signficant project pipeline, AECOM is growing its Civil Structures team in
Melbourne and are keen to hear from a passionate and motivated Associate Director who is
looking to take the next step in their career. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a
large and highly experienced team on a range of civil infrastructure projects for an array of
clients on local, regional and inter-state projects.
Our work stream covers the full life cycle of civil structures, including planning studies,
design, construction, and asset management. We deal mostly with bridges, but also with
tunnels, retaining walls, major culverts, gantries, maritime structures, and more.
This role will give you the opportunity to further develop your engineering, design, asset
management, and project management skills by working with experienced and capable
colleagues. In our team we support each other to deliver quality and timely projects and to
achieve personal and team goals.

Job Description
Skills
Ability to build, maintain and manage strong client relationships and have worked closely with construction managers
Develop and retain a high level of technical skill
Develop and maintain relationships with
External parties to ensure maximum bene t is achieved for AECOM from these relationships.
Provide high quality technical advice to clients and ensures that the needs of clients are understood and met
Create high performing, motivated and engaged teams via Performance Planning, Performance Management, appropriate Reward and Recognition, learning and development opportunities
Knowledge
Able to use Bridge Structural design programs and packages
Ability to use all Microsoft Office packages
Working expertise of track design package/s
Knowledge of the market for consulting services

An effective leader with tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results
High level attention to detail and accuracy
Collaborative; willing to share knowledge, experience, ideas and expertise for the betterment of group and self

Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) – essential;
Chartered Engineer accreditation – highly regarded.
Significant experience in delivering major civil infrastructure structural design in multi-disciplinary environment.
