AECOM Project Accountant in Massachusetts, Massachusetts
AECOM Tishman is seeking an experienced Construction Project Accountant to support our iconic construction projects in the Boston, MA area.
Has advanced knowledge of project accounting, providing support for the most complex and/or large scale projects.
Makes recommendations for project improvement based on review of financial results and knowledge of project(s).
Researches general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and A/R cash adjustments.
Works with customers or clients to gather and provide information.
Sets up and maintenance of Indirect & Capital Projects
Performs various types of data mass updates in Oracle
Prepares quarterly financial reports as needed
Audit support and special projects as needed
Performs professional-level accounting support, related to moderately complex accounting tasks.
Has a proven ability to apply professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner.
Maintains records according to generally accepted accounting practices.
Performs audits and generates special financial reports as needed.
Works under moderate supervision of daily work

About Construction Management - AECOM Tishman
Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.
- BA/BS Accounting/Finance or related field + 6 years of construction project accounting experience from a large GC or construction firm or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
6 years or more of accounting and finance experience in construction project accounting.
Experience with Oracle Project Module
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in MS Office.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Detailed oriented, strong analytical skills to trouble shoot and problem solving
Team Player, interacting with diverse internal client base
Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines under moderate supervision
