Position Title Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Mechanical Project Engineer for immediate employment for the Markham, ON office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
A key member of the mechanical design team responsible for leading a multi-billion P3 project, from design through construction
Provide conceptual design at the early stages of the project and develop the concept to high quality detailed design, co-ordinate with all disciplines
Perform calculations, conduct design drawing reviews, and field investigations
Ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards
Write/ edit mechanical specifications
Travel to construction sites to conduct mechanical inspections and prepare reports
Project management experience including budget control and interdisciplinary coordination
Project work will involve some travel within Canada and may involve some travel to the USA
Must participate in business development and writing proposals
Prepare written reports and deliver results in a clear manner to technical or non-technical audience
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
15+ years of experience in the Buildings Engineering Industry
Strong Consulting Industry background in Canada
In-depth knowledge of HVAC hydronic systems, controls, co-generation systems and similar
Design knowledge in Plumbing and Fire Protection systems
Well organized, self-directed work habits with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and schedule tasks managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
Very strong communication skills, spoken and written; good presentation skills
Must possess valid driver’s licence and passport
Able to work independently or as part of a team
18+ years of experience in the Buildings Engineering Industry
